Every day for 366 days in 2016, Lisa created a small piece of art. Some of these pieces were done in 20 minutes or less, others took up to 3 hours of work. This series is devoted to studio practice. As an artist, Lisa believes the only way to grow is through practice. 2016 was a great year for small works as she spent 6 months of the year traveling to Chicago and Munich, and made short trips to other countries and cities in Europe. Because she was traveling so much, she became an adaptable artist. She also experienced the added challenge of keeping her art mobile. Lisa’s motivation for this series derives from the belief that artists keep their skills sharp through the dedication of constant practice. Much of the content in 366 varies between abstract, illustrative and more traditional practices of art.
