Oklahoma City 2014
The Garden Project was an installation collaborative project between Lisa McIlroy and Adrienne Wright. It was exhibited at the JRB Gallery in Oklahoma City in March of 2014. Funded by the Paseo Fest, this constructed garden landscape provided an interactive environment for the public to experience a beautiful setting combining the beauty of nature with the creativity of man.
Constructed out of paper, canvas and other inert objects, the purpose of The Garden Project is to influence a community through interactive art. The project’s goal was to create a space that the public can experience and enjoy. Strong communities are born from the desire to interact with one another. Public interaction is most successful against the backdrop of a well-designed space. This project aimed to help raise awareness of the positive impact a beautiful, functional space can have on a community.
